My name is Debra Jason and I'm a REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® and Accredited Buyers Rep (ABR®) on Kaua`i. The beautiful golden retriever above is Ike. If you've been on the beaches along the north shore of Kauai, you probably know him and therefore, have probably met me. Kauai's north shore is my home.

I'm an entrepreneurial spirit who has owned and operated my own business, The Write Direction -- specializing in Web and direct marketing communications -- since 1989.  As a freelance writer, my challenge was to find just the right words that spoke to just the right audience. It was my job to find just the "right fit" so that prospective buyers wanted (and purchased) my client's products or services.

As a marketing professional, the Boulder Area REALTOR® Association asked me to speak to its members about successful Web marketing of their properties. Over the years, I have also done marketing presentations for the Boulder Chamber of Commerce, Kaua`i Chamber of Commerce, Kaua`i Small Business Development Center, the Rocky Mountain Direct Marketing Association and more.

In addition, I have taught classes through the Continuing Education department at the University of Colorado at Boulder, the University of Colorado at Denver's Professional Development Department, and the Boulder Valley School District's Lifelong Learning program. In 2007, I served on the Education Committee for the Kaua`i Board of Realtors and for 2008 am serving on the Public Relations committee. I am currently on the Board of Directors for the Kauai North Shore Business Council and the Friends of the North Shore Library at Princeville.

I am a member of the Zonta Club of Hanalei and between 2005-2006, I was invited to Chair Kauai's Women in Business Roundtable. I am the ‘98-'99 Past President of the Rocky Mountain Direct Marketing Association's  (RMDMA) Board of Directors and from 1994-1997 I served on the Board of Directors for the Boulder Chamber of Commerce in Colorado and later on the PR committee at the Kauai Chamber of Commerce. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from The City University of New York at Queens College in 1975 and my Master of Arts degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1977.
